by our volunteers – Durham City Pointers
Our operating season this year is Saturday 20th April to Friday 4th October (provisional)
We’ll meet pre booked coaches arriving between 9.30am and 11.00am. We may be able to meet coaches at other times depending upon volunteer availability. ** see below for changes to Coach Parking Aug 2019**
If you wish to book our service
Please book Meet and Greet at least 24 hours in ADVANCE of your arrival by contacting Durham Pointers on 07582 332 621 9.30 am – 3.30pm (during our operating season 20th April – 4th Oct 2019). You can leave a message if you ring outside these times. Alternatively you can ring Durham Market Company on 0191 384 6153 (office hours Monday to Saturday). They will pass a message on to us. You can also book by emailing us. (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you cannot give 24 hours notice, we may still be able to meet you at short notice, depending again on volunteer availability.
One of our volunteers will offer a warm welcome on the coach and give a city centre information brochure to your passengers and a meal voucher for drivers in Café Cenno in the Market Hall. They will also advise your customers of the most suitable way of reaching the city centre and cathedral from the coach park/coach drop off point.
Please note, as this service is staffed by volunteers, it may be unavailable from time to time.
