Durham Pointers is run entirely by volunteers. We have no funding except what we raise ourselves through sponsorship and donations.
You can support us
with your time, by volunteering to be a Pointer
with your expertise, by offering advice
with your money.
Every donation, however small, helps us to keep operating.
We have some very welcome sponsorship from local businesses and organisations which helps pay, for example, for the production of our leaflets, but we have many other expenses, such as public liability insurance, our lovely pink tabards and trike maintenance. Even small items of stationery, such as pens to write on our daily A board have a cost attached to them, so every small donation is put to good use.
** Please note that Durham Pointers will receive 100% of your online donation (no fees deducted) but on the donation page (on the ‘Your Information” page), the company hosting our online donations will request a voluntary addition to cover their operating costs. Their default is 17% but there is no compulsion to accept this and you can scroll down to “Other” and leave the box empty to make a zero addition. One in three donors do not add a percentage and there is absolutely no pressure to do so. Thank you. **
